title: "Indium 0.7 is out!"
date: 2017-07-24 13:40:00 +0200
author: Nicolas Petton
categories: indium emacs javascript
description: "Support for sourcemaps, bug fixes for NodeJS."
---

[Indium](https://github.com/NicolasPetton/Indium) -- the JavaScript development
environment for Emacs -- version 0.7 was released a few days ago!

This release brings a major improvement: support for source maps (see
the
[documentation](http://indium.readthedocs.io/en/latest/debugger.html#using-sourcemaps)).

[Source maps](https://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/developertools/sourcemaps/) make
it possible to us a source JavaScript file (not built/minified) while a minified
file is served. Indium supports source maps both for debugging and setting
breakpoints.

Installation and update instructions can be found in
the [documentation](https://indium.readthedocs.io/en/latest/). You can also
check out the project on [GitHub](https://github.com/NicolasPetton/Indium).
